Kingdom Hearts: Destined Love-Ch. 1

Sora was leaning back on his hands on the beach. The sun was at its' highest point in the sky and the weather was perfect. The sky was clear and a bright blue, the birds were singing happily in the palm trees on the island and there was a slight breeze to top it all off. He was enjoying the day, eyes closed, and wearing his blue swimtrunks.
    He took a deep breath and smiled as he released it.

"What a beautiful day." Sora said to himself. The waves were licking at the edge of the beach, barley reaching Sora's feet. After a moment, he opened his eyes and stood up, gazing out towards the sea. He smiled again and just stood there, admiring the beauty of it all. Well, until someone came up from behind and leaped up onto his back. He almost fell forward, but he was lucky to regain his balance so quickly, and he turned his head to see a girl with auburn hair and blue eyes on his back.

"Hey, Kairi!" He said happily. She giggled.

"Hey, lazy." She said back, smiling. She, too, had her swimsuit on; pink bikini. Kairi then rested her hands and head ontop of his spiky brown hair. "Why aren't you in the water?"

"I was admiring the view. And waiting for you to change." Sora replied, looking out at the sea again.

"Aw, you didn't have to wait." She blushed, removing her hands from his head and wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Eh, I wanted to. Besides, now I can do this!" He reached around and took hold of her and brought her to his front, so now he was carrying her in his arms. She laughed and tried to get free, but he started running towards the dock.

"Ah, Sora, don't you dare!" Kairi laughed. Sora kept running towards the end of the dock laughing with her.

"Hang on!" He told her. She held on to his neck and seconds later, he jumped and they both went underwater. Once under, Sora let go of Kairi and followed her to the surface. She saw him and immediately splashed him.

"Jerk!" She smiled. He just splashed her back and laughed. Sora then dove under and was gone from sight. Kairi smiled and began searching the water from the surface, trying to see him, but she couldn't. Quietly, Sora emerged from the water behind her and he snatched his arms around her, causing her to scream.

"Gotcha!" He teased, holding her tight as she squirmed. Sora laughed at her. "Uh-uh. Not gonna let you go!"

"Not fair! You're stronger than me!" She giggled. Sora chuckled and turned her to face him, but he still held on. Smiling still, he looked at her eyes, those ocean blue eyes. Oh, how much he loved to see her eyes everyday. Kairi began blushing and looked away, but returned the smile. Sora blushed, too, but didn't look away. Instead, he pulled her to him for a hug. Kairi was caught off guard, but hugged back, blushing more, considering they were both wet and half-naked. When they pulled away, they decided to get out and head to the Secret Place. They grabbed their towels, dried and headed that way. Kairi wanted to have fun on the way, so she began walking on the stones around the oasis, but since they were thin, it was like walking a tight-rope, only sterdier. She had her arms out to help balance herself and walked slowly. Sora walked next to the edge, close enough to catch her if needed.
    When Kairi reached the last step, she lost her footing and began to sway until she started falling. Luckily, Sora reached out and caught her. One of her legs made it to the sand, while the other bent on the stones so that her knee rested on it.

"Ow." She said softly. Sora helped her up looked down at her knee; she scraped it and it was bleeding a bit.

"Kairi, your knee..." She quickly bent down to brush at it. She winced as she touched it, and she tried to hide the fact that it hurt.

"It's nothing." She said, unconvincingly. Sora saw she was hurt, she scooped her up in his arms and carried her. "Sora, really, I'm fine." Sora shook his head.

"Kairi, you're hurt. Walking with it exposed like that will make it worse." Kairi blushed.
Sora brought Kairi inside the Secret Place and set her down against the wall. He turned and found his pants, where, inside one of his pockets, he pulled out a sanitary wipe and band-aid.

"Do you always carry that stuff?" Kairi questioned. Sora shrugged.

"Sometimes. You never know when you'll need it." He winked at her, causing her to blush again, and he unwrapped the wipe. "Now, this may sting a bit..." He warned. Gently, he began to wipe the wound. Kairi gasped lightly at it's touch, causing Sora to stop for a second, then continue. After a few seconds, it didn't hurt as bad, and he finished. He then unwrapped the band-aid and placed it over the wound, putting light pressure on it to secure it down. "Better?"

"Yeah. Thank you, Sora." She replied. Sora rubbed the spot softly with one hand, and then with the other, he stroked her leg gently. They both turned red, Kairi turned her head. "..Sora?"

"Shh. It's okay...I won't hurt you." He whispered, closing his eyes. Sora then leaned down and kissed the band-aid. His kisses trailed up her leg, slowly, making their way to her mid thigh, before he stopped and looked up at her face. Her face was burning as she looked back at him. He hand that was stroking her leg moved up to her waist, while the other lingered on her cheek. Sora, too, was red in the face, but he didn't care.
Their faces were inches away from each other, and Kairi couldn't help but looked at his lips. Those lips that she really wanted to kiss with her own.

"Kairi..." He said softly, sending a chill down her spine. As if he heard her thoughts, he leaned in and kissed her lips softly. Kairi, at first, was shocked by the impact, but it was quickly washed away, as she closed her eyes and kissed back. Her fingers had a mind of their own as they traveled up his back to his neck. Sora, feeling the same as her, took hold of her by the waist and hoisted her into his lap. She wrapped her legs around his waist and continued to kiss him; she had one hand in his hair and the other on the back of his neck while he had one on her lower back, holding her up, and the other on the back of her head. The kiss became more passionate as they kissed a bit harder.
After what seemed like forever, they pulled apart, taking in big gulps of air. Their eyes met, and they both smiled and blushed. It was their first kiss, and neither of them believe it to be that intense.

"Wow..." She said in a breath. He smiled, still breathing heavily.

"Yeah..." He replied. After a moment, he spoke again. "Kairi, would you...I mean- uh..would like to, uh, go out with...me?" He was very nervous as he spoke, that his voice was shaky.

"I would love to." She nodded and smiled, making him smile too.

"Cool."

"Well, I think I should head back." Kairi said, standing up, and helping Sora up as well. "Would you like to come over? We can watch a movie or something." Kairi self-consciecely stroked the side of her arm. Sora nodded.

"Sure, why not?" And then he leaned in for another kiss-

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
The sound of Kairi's alarm yanked her out of her dreams and threw her into reality. Slowly, she opened her eyes and slammed her hand down on her clock, silencing the nasty beeping. She slowly sat up and rubbed the sleep from her eyes and slouched in sadness. That was the best dream she had in a long time, and now it was ruined, but it still stayed fresh in her memory.

"Sora? I miss you." She said to herself. With a sigh, she stood and started to get ready for school.
Sora had moved away a couple months ago due to his Mom getting a better job on the south side of the island. It was a three day drive away, so Kairi never saw him after he left. They talked on the phone and used webcams from their computers, but it wasn't the same. Not to mention, neither of them told each other how they felt about one another.
Kairi finished brushing out her hair, checked to see her uniform was all accounted for, grabbed her bag and was out the door and on her way to school.

"Ugh, I hate mondays."
